Lie to the Law

Today on my way home from work, I got pulled over in a routine road block. The official asked me for my license and I passed it over. Up until this point I was pretty relaxed as I knew it was just a routine check. All of a sudden it dawned on me that my license says I am twenty and here I am wearing a high school uniform. The look on his face was priceless, he was just as uncomfortable, if not more then I was. He proceeded to ask me which high school I went to. I just stared at him. Was I meant to lie and just say Westerford or do I try and explain why I am wearing the uniform of a school I don't attend. The other thought though was, 'am I allowed to be inpersonating a high school student'. I ended up telling him that I was wearing my old uniform as part of varsity project. His face said it all, he thought I was absolutely crazy. He said, 'I'm sure it is' and gave me my license back.
Up until now I have been the one to decide whether people know who I really am. Having someone call me unexpectedly really made me feel a little embarrassed and very uncomfortable. Not again!
